Second 7″ from this hardcore band out of Singapore, and it’s another ripper. If you haven’t heard them before, Lubricant have a heavy, well-produced hardcore sound that walks the fine line between musical sophistication and knuckle-dragging thuggery. The overall vibe is quite similar to the Impalers (minus that band’s longer, more complex song structures and virtuosic lead playing), and I must admit that Lubricant’s riffs are nearly as catchy.
