With a raised fist and one foot in the grave, Illvilja stares death in the eye. To reflect melancholy, darkness and the never-ending pain – Illvilja combines heavy riffs with dark melodies mixed with blast beats and raw D-beats. Nothing is censored. Everything that grinds your mind is draged out in the open. As a direct consequence of a harsher social climate and a degenerating outside world, Illvilja lets the anti-fascist flame shine bright.
The “Swedish working line” disassembled into pieces and is described as a study in suicide. From Illviljas point of view Sweden stinks of anxiety and self-hatred.
A recurring theme in the songs is death, death as something horrible, tragic and terrible but also as a longing, freedom and as a constant companion.
